Slap Competition to Start In Nigeria This Month

Slap Competition Debuts In Nigeria, The Executive Director, TKK Sport, Mr. Abdullrahman Orosanya, promoter of Slap Fight Nigeria, has disclosed in a statement in Lagos that the date for commencement of the slap competition is yet to be picked.

Speaking, the director had also stated that the slap sport was new in the country, but had been ongoing in countries like Russia and had gained popularity in the U.S. and some European countries.

According to Wikipedia: Slapboxing (or slap-boxing) is a physical activity somewhat simulating boxing, where open-handed slaps are used instead of fists.
This quasi-martial art form, at an intersection between sparring and fighting, is usually performed in an ad hoc or informal manner, or when boxing protective gear is unavailable.
Although a popular pastime in some circles, it is generally not considered a competitive sport, but rather a game or training drill.

“The championship is open to all athletes world-class competitors, high-profile influencers, and smack-talking rivals give and take their best shot to settle beef and win the hard way.

“There will be a virtual training for both athletes and officials preceding the championship to build the capacity of participants on the rules, modern fighting techniques, and other new development in the Slap Fight sport.

“The resource team will be led by J T Tilley from Slap-Fight Championship supported by coaches, instructors, and athletes from Slap Fight and World Slap-Fight Alliance,” he added.
